Together, with Lorain County Creating Healthy Communities, we have rolled out a family engagement activity in downtown Oberlin…the Story Stroll.
Covid-19 has altered our course for many things this year but it doesn’t have to stop us in our tracks. You can still continue your child’s journey to kindergarten through fun and a walk, jog, stroll or roll through downtown Oberlin while taking in a storybook in the windows of local shops and eateries.
Check out our Story Stroll page for a map and a list of all the great downtown organizations that have pages of our Fall story in their windows. The story will change out seasonally, the businesses will change up some too. We have had a great response from our downtown businesses wanting to support literacy and our youth. Be sure to take a moment and check out those shops and restaurants. There has never been a greater need to shop local. You may discover something new!
Get out, get some fresh air, and be sure to wear a mask in public spaces.
Stay On Track to Kindergarten with OberlinKids!
