As we work toward ensuring ALL children in Oberlin enter kindergarten healthy and ready to learn, we have decided to implement a more parent friendly model. Previously, we would ask for parents to schedule an appointment to sit down and complete a developmental and social-emotional screening with Jenn Keathley, the OberlinKids Coordinator. We understand that parents’ lives are busy and scheduling another meeting is often difficult. In response to this, we are thrilled to announce that we are now able to offer the ASQ-3, developmental screening and the ASQ-SE, the social-emotional screening in an online format or paper format for you to complete at your own convenience.

We also have newly designed digital On Track for Kindergarten In Take forms. The two links can all be completed in about 5 minutes. You will be asked to do this short process upon enrollment and again annually, around your child’s birthday. Once the screenings and In Take forms have been received by Jenn, she will review them and identify if there is anything she recommends. If you or your child are eligible or may be interested in additional resources to help your family, Jenn will contact you to schedule a time to discuss ways she can help.
